For much of my creative life, I have designed experiences—spaces, rituals, wellness concepts, and ways of living shaped around how people feel, gather, restore, and become.

The question

Whether the work began with a room, a table, a retreat, or an idea, the question beneath it was always the same:

What might help someone feel more present, more supported, and more at home in their life?

The throughline

The human story beneath the design.

Over time, I came to understand that the most enduring part of design was never the aesthetic alone. It was the human story beneath it—the experiences people carry, the transitions they navigate, and the parts of a life that are not always easily explained.

Maren Elliot grew from that understanding.

From experiences to books.

Today, my work has expanded from designing experiences around people to creating books that accompany them. Through reflective Field Guides, stories for younger readers, and books shaped by food, memory, and gathering, I am building a library for lives still becoming.
